Buy yourself the damn flowers!!!

I bought myself the damn flowers!

Has there ever been a time in your life when you thought things were just CRAP?

Crap for me is a time when all the nagging thoughts in my brain causing anger snd angst about every situation in my life to come spilling out of my mouth and be projected into the world, more times than not, onto the ones I love the most, for that I am very sorry! ❤️

And then, in a quiet moment of meditation, guidance and clarity is provided.

I must love myself more!

If I loved myself more, I wouldn’t be so damn angry with the world.

When we love ourselves more, our energy raises and our positive vibe reaches throughout the universe! The love for self is projected to everyone around us. Our life becomes blissful and shit isn’t as hard.

Love is given, and love is received! ❤️

Life becomes easier!

❤️ Today, I promise to start loving myself more; I am worthy of love.

❤️ Today, I promise to start loving those who love me more, my family and friends deserve my love.

❤️ Today, I promise to stop questioning my abilities and understand that I am knowledgable, educated and intelligent; I believe in my skills and abilities.

❤️ Today, I stop letting the opinions of others rule my life; I am confident of my abilities.

❤️ Today, I promise to let go of all the negative shit that is festering in my mind; I am living a life full of magnificent possibilities.

❤️ Today, I promise not to work so damn hard; I promise to find balance in my life to include fun and fitness; I am growing and changing.

❤️ Today, I promise to find happy in all circumstances; I am manifesting the life I desire.

❤️ Today, I bought myself the damn flowers; I choose me.

Set yourself some boundaries, write some positive mantras to live by and buy yourself the damn flowers…I did!

With positive light and loads of love,

Honoring Independence

There are certain places I visit that cause a stir to my soul; for me those places include oceans, trainyards and tracks and porches, especially when I’m sitting in a chair being doused by the light of a full moon.

Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, is another place that has the same effect on me; this small town played an extremely important role in shaping the future of the United States of America.

I had a few hours to spare this morning while I was waiting on Duffield to be groomed, so I walked the quiet streets, visited the National Soldiers Cemetery and drove the winding roads passing through the hallowed ground of the battlefield.

As I approached Devil’s Den, I remembered that as a child I jumped and ran and climbed the rocks giggling and playing. As I played freely, I gave no thought to the importance of this pile of boulders on the southern side of Gettysburg.

I didn’t realize that during the the Battle of Devil’s Den, fought on July 2, 1863, nearly 8,000 blue and the gray soldiers fought bravely and fiercely. I also didn’t know that over 2,800 casualties ensued in just one battle on day two of the three day Battle of Gettysburg.

And as a young child, I never stopped playing on those rocks long enough to understand that this battle in Gettysburg was the most important engagement of the Civil War.

Today, on July 2, 158 years after the Battle of Gettysburg ended, I sat atop Devil’s Den starring at historical monuments and statues of fallen soldiers far in the distance, and I fully understood the significance.

I understand that even though the Battle of Gettysburg happened after the Revolutionary War, remembering the history that occurred in this small Pennsylvania town in 1863 is extremely important. #historymatters

The Battle of Gettysburg and wars that preceded and followed were fought to preserve OUR freedoms and provide us OUR independence. #letfreedomring
