Oh, death where is your sting?

Where, oh death is your victory, where, oh death is your sting?

The news of a Cheryl’s passing brings a sting. It stings long and hard for some. It stings for a daughter and son that won’t see the face of their precious mother one more time. It stings for a mother who’s too young of a daughter has left this earthly realm before her. It stings for grandchildren who won’t have the opportunity to know their grandmother. It stings for friends and family. It’s stings for those of us who didn’t maintain a relationship because, maybe, we didn’t have time or because we didn’t agree with her life choices. It stings because starring death in the face reminds us that we are all mortal beings, and life is only finite.

I ask all of you who feel the sting, to let everything go except the good things; remember only the good things, the laughter, the smiles the ridiculous ramblings, the simple silly little gifts that were perfectly picked at each holiday – and you know what I’m talking about if you ever received a stuffed pig or cow at Christmas!

May your sting be lessened by God’s promise that death will be defeated forever, never to hurt anyone again.

May your sting be lessened by knowing there will be no more struggles.

May your sting be lessened by knowing there will be no more pain.

May your sting be lessened knowing that she is surrounded by all of her angels.

May your sting be lessened by knowing that this is part of God’s plan of perfection.

May your sting be lessened by knowing that you have another angel supporting and protecting you while you finish your journey on earth.

May your sting be lessened by knowing she is at peace and sitting the the palm of God’s hand.

Sharing all my sympathy with Pati, Alyssa, Austin and the rest of the family during this difficult time.

With love ❤️
